All PhD Candidates must undertake an annual review for every year of their candidature. Annual reviews are typically conducted during September-October. Submitting an annual review of progress is compulsory; continued enrolment depends on the completion of a satisfactory annual review in the preceding year.
The purpose of the annual review is to provide you with the opportunity to discuss achievements as well as any difficulties you have experienced over the past 12 months and to discuss plans for the coming 12 months.
The following people are required to attend your annual review:
- First-named UTAS Supervisor
- CMAR supervisor
- QMS Graduate Research Coordinator and/or School Graduate Research Coordinator
Other members of your supervision team are welcome to attend and it can be a valuable opportunity to get all of you together to celebrate achievements, monitor your progress, identify and resolve any problems or concerns and plan for the following year.
Annual reviews of QMS PhD Candidates are organised and coordinated by the Graduate Research Coordinator and the Administrative Officer of the QMS PhD program, Ms Denbeigh Armstrong will assist in making appointments when annual reviews are due.
For more information about the annual review process, read pages 18-20 of the Graduate Research Resource Book available at http://www.research.utas.edu.au/gr/docs/resource_book.pdf
