Catherine Bulman is working on trophodynamics of small pelagic species of the southern Australian ecosystem and implications for fisheries in ecosystem modelling, development of methodology to assess ecological risk assessment from the effects of fishing on communities in Australian fisheries, and linking Ecopath models of Australian marine communities with climate and biogeochemical models. Dr Trevor McDougall is working on deducing the strength of mixing processes in the ocean from observations,
