Pathways into the University of Tasmania
University College programs provide alternative pathways into University of Tasmania bachelor degrees for students who may not qualify for direct entry and are looking for a flexible and supportive learning environment. These pathway programs can provide entry into the first, second or third year of a University of Tasmania bachelor degree.

University College provides you with a direct pathway into a University of Tasmania bachelor program. Located on campus in Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast, University College gives students full access to University of Tasmania facilities and services.
Many of our courses, particularly our Associate Degrees, offer links to Tasmanian industry and businesses. You will have the opportunity to directly engage with these industries through participation in real world and hands-on learning.
Supportive learning environment
We understand that entering higher education can be daunting for many students. We offer a flexible, supportive learning environment, with friendly and approachable teaching staff. Additionally, support staff including portfolio coaches, counselors, advisors and career planner help to ensure your transition into higher education is a smooth one.
Students have different needs when it comes to learning, which is why we offer a range of delivery methods, including online, face-to-face and blended learning (a combination of face-to-face and online). Our programs allow you to tailor your learning to suit you individual needs and interests.
You're a part of the university from day one
University College is located on the University of Tasmania's Sandy Bay, Newnham and Cradle Coast campuses, so you are part of the university community from day one. University College students have access to university libraries, sporting facilities, student service facilities and cafes.
Associate Degrees progressing into a University of Tasmania bachelor degree
Students can choose to undertake a pathway in their Associate Degree that allows them to gain up to two years credit into a specified University of Tasmania bachelor degree. This means you can complete your bachelor degree without the need to study for longer than necessary.
