The University’s Capital Management Plan (CMP) comprises three components:
Budget allocations are made annually. Commercial Services and Development is responsible for prioritising projects to be funded from the backlog maintenance component of the CMP but University staff are encouraged to identify any work that appears to be required. Please see the Infrastructure planning and compliance page for more information on maintenance requests.
The CMP budget allows funding of refurbishments, compliance issues, infrastructure improvements and new construction activities. The bulk of requests for CMP funding arises from faculties and schools but staff in the Division of the Chief Operating Officer have a role in identifying compliance and infrastructure projects.
There are different processes for requesting a minor works and capital works. For information on the difference between minor works and capital works, please contact Campus Services. See also the Policy on the Approval of Works to University Buildings and Site Infrastructure.
Requests for minor works are made using the Minor works request form (PDF 39.9KB).
Once your minor works request has been approved, you will receive a work request number and a Commercial Services and Development project manager contact name. For information on the progress of minor works, please contact the project manager or contact Campus Services and quote the work request number.
For maintenance work requests, contact Campus Services.
