Thank you to all UTAS students and staff who completed the UTAS Travel Survey 2013. The winner of the $250 Kathmandu voucher will be drawn on 4 April 2013, and the winner will be notified by phone or email.
The results of the survey are being collated will be published in June this year.
The travel survey was open to all staff and students of the University of Tasmania. The survey opened on Wednesday 13 March 2013 and closed on Wednesday 27 March.
The UTAS Travel Survey will establish baseline information about the travel behaviour and travel patterns of the University community across all campuses and facilities. The baseline data obtained from this survey will lead to the development of key performance indicators that guide the delivery of the UTAS Sustainable Transport Strategy and facilitate future transport and facilities planning. The University’s Commercial Services and Development section is responsible for implementing initiatives under the UTAS Sustainable Transport Strategy.
The key objectives of the UTAS Sustainable Transport Strategy are to:
• Maximise access to the university by healthy and sustainable transport options.
• Reduce the incidence of single occupant vehicle use and unnecessary travel.
• Reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from university transport sources.
