Students will reflect on the need for strategic planning, analysis of the health services environment (internal and external) and lessons on implementation; with additional discussion of organizational capability, deeper treatment of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Examples from real-world health care organizations will be used to elucidate many of the key lessons from the Australian health sector context, and more importantly, look to ways to improve both the quality and alignment of health sector planning.
