Policy and Leadership in Older Person Care CNA426

Introduction

Health professionals are required to practice within an evidenced based framework. This unit will explore the integration of professional, gerontological- practice models of care for older people as they transition through acute, sub-acute, community and residential care in the context of complex  regulatory, policy and political frameworks. A number of professional gerontological practice models and leadership approaches will be proposed and examined from the perspective of the older person and the health professional through the changing approaches to service design and practice.
