This is a postgraduate elective or specialisation unit available only to postgraduate students studying postgraduate degrees in the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics. Students who wish to enrol for this unit should contact the Corporate Internship Director in the first instance at Corporate.Internships@utas.edu.au.
Students undertake a semester of business project, academic-oriented study that integrates work and learning. The student is physically located in a corporate environment, and specific work projects are determined in collaboration with the internship business organisation, postgraduate course coordinator, corporate internship director and student. The Corporate Internship Programme recognises and builds on the skills, capabilities and knowledge students have acquired in their Master's degree and aims to increase awareness and experience of the wider social, cultural and global environment of a workplace. It provides a learning situation in the real world of business. Attendance at on-campus seminars may be required.
