Students learn about common pathological conditions, their causes, including environmental factors and their consequences. They also learn theoretical and practical aspects of the histological methods used to identify common pathological conditions, such as bacterial, viral and fungal infections, infiltrations and endogenous pigments. The histological methods include enzyme histochemistry and immuno-cytochemistry.
