Introduction

This unit explores the concepts of mental health well-being and dementia care. The content of this unit is informed by expert practitioners, including the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, to ensure you will study current and supportive approaches to care. You will develop proficiency in differentiating the three 'D's' of dementia, delirium and depression, and managing BPSD. A key focus will be on enabling service- design that considers each person as an individual, as well as a product of their country, religion, ethnic background, language, and family system
