This unit provides students with an understanding of the contextual factors impacting on the health of children and their families, and on service delivery. Students will be encouraged to critically reflect on child and family health nursing practice in relation to observations of how legislative, economic and psychosocial factors influence the health of children and families. In addition, this unit will explore theoretical understandings of child development.
