SSWAHS recognises the enormous challenges and changes in health service delivery and the nature of health workforce. There is a particular imperative to ensure strong leadership and governance in health systems. National and international studies have demonstrated repeatedly the benefits, in terms of reduced risk and better quality care that flow from effective leadership and well designed clinical systems that are subject to regular multidisciplinary review of outcomes.
