Hobart, Launceston, Cradle Coast
This is an elective level 300 unit available only to students studying undergraduate degrees (including combined degrees) in the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE). Students who are enrolled in courses other than in the TSBE but who are completing a major offered by the TSBE may be able to enrol in BAA322 by arrangement.
Students undertake a semester of business project/academic oriented study that integrates work and learning over one day per week. The student is physically located in a corporate environment, and specific work projects are determined in collaboration with the internship business organisation, programme director and student. The Corporate Internship Programme recognises and builds on the skills, capabilities and knowledge students have acquired in their first two years of study, and also increases awareness and experience of the wider social, cultural and global environment of a workplace. It provides a learning situation in the real world of business. Attendance at on-campus seminars may be required. Placements will be advertised on the Corporate Internship website: http://www.utas.edu.au/business/faculty/internships/info_stu.html
