The Graduate Certificate of Education (Applied Learning) is a contemporary, flexible and creative 4 unit course designed to enable professional development for current or aspiring educators. Students are likely to have an established professional career and are seeking to expand their knowledge in both the theory and practice of education, particularly within adult and vocational sectors.

This course is only offered on a full-fee paying basis to eligible students. An alternative pathway to a Graduate Certificate in Education (Applied Learning) is available on a Commonwealth Supported (CSP) basis for the first four units through the Bachelor of Education with Professional Honours (Applied Learning) E5V.

Entry requirements

The University requires applicants for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Education (Applied Learning) to hold a an undergraduate degree offered by recognised tertiary education providers and are employed in a teaching or training role.

The course articulates into Education Honours degrees and Master of Education.

Fees & scholarships

Domestic students

Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.

Annual Tuition Fee is inclusive of the compulsory Student Services and Amenities (SSA) fee. The SSA fee for 2017 is $294 AUD.

International students

2016 Annual Tuition Fee (international students): $24,000 AUD.

Annual Tuition Fee is inclusive of the compulsory Student Services and Amenities (SSA) fee. The SSA for 2016 is $290 AUD.
