Students are expected to have prepared their parts thoroughly prior to the first scheduled rehearsal. Students should take careful note of rehearsal/concert times and not involve themselves in outside activities during these periods.
Students enrolling in this unit attend a two-week Summer Orchestral Institute program and participate in a variety of activities designed to provide intensive pre-professional training in orchestral practice. The program consists of intensive cycles of orchestral rehearsals, workshops, masterclasses, individual practice time and concert presentations.
