Musicology majors: all students in the musicology major will be assigned to a Conservatorium ensemble and are required to attend all rehearsals and participate in concert performances.
This unit considers of the notion of classicism and romanticism, and the political, social and philosophical background of the period. Topics will focus on major composers and the evolution of musical styles as well as the reasons why the music was so shaped.
