The unit integrates diverse aspects of creative arts practice, in a project designed in consultation with teaching staff. The unit challenges and extends students' understanding of the potential scope of new and traditional media with an emphasis on cross-media investigations and outcomes. A series of lectures and presentations drawn from a range of creative practices will demonstrate how the expressive force and reception of a particular theme is shaped by technical and formal processes as well as media employed. Students will undertake a systematic inquiry that identifies, investigates and explores a single theme through the technologies available across a range of media and studio disciplines.
