In undertaking this unit you will build on your acquired skills to explore contemporary design practice through a range of materials and processes, whilst further developing your design approach.
You will be guided through more in-depth approaches to observation and reflection, connecting your studio-based experiences with contextual knowledge of contemporary design and critical discourse. You are expected to become increasingly competent in your ability to experiment, develop and realise resolved work, to identify your individual expression and to critically engage with contemporary design. Study of this unit will involve guided individual and collaborative investigation.
