In this unit you will focus on developing your creative, analytical, and technical skills, enabling you to investigate, research and produce innovative and effective design solutions to a range of problems.
You will be guided through a series of activities and assessment tasks including one-to-one consultation with staff, group critiques, seminars, lectures and demonstrations that will expose you to a broad range of ideas and methods relevant to contemporary design theory and practice.

3hr weekly studio sessions that comprise of technical workshops, studio lectures, group learning activities and individual studio time. There is an expectation of at least an additional 3hrs independent practical work in the studio weekly (13 weeks, including an Independent Study Week).
Ongoing formative feedback through written, verbal, visual, individual and collective presentations and critique. Final resolved design work, including presentation (verbal/visual) evidencing documentation and reflection (extracted from journal and other places). (100%)
