Understanding Workplace Conflict LAW555



In this subject students will explore the phenomenon of conflict in the workplace, and will learn how to analyse workplace conflict using various models of conflict analysis.  Students will also examine a range of theories, laws and standards relevant to managing conflict in the workplace.  Conflict between employees, as well as between employees and management, will be considered.  Types of workplace conflict examined in detail may include: bullying and harassment, discrimination, performance-related conflict, social media conflicts, and personality conflicts.

1 x report to management about a particular type of workplace conflict (40%); 1 x case study (40%); 1 x engagement in online activities (20%).
