This unit is only available to paramedics enrolled in the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice (conversion pathway) from 2011.
This unit focuses on the application of paramedic practice in community-based emergency health. The unit expands on knowledge and management of health emergencies explored in CAA201 Paramedic Practice 3 through industry-based application. The unit integrates clinical reasoning and critical analysis with reflective practice to promote continuing professional development and contemporary evidence-based paramedic practice

Approximately 156 hours of professional practice experience conducted over the semester with online discussion and reflective activities.
Clinical Practice portfolio (Pass/Fail) 100%. Note: This unit is ungraded as specified in Clause 10.4 of UTAS Rule 111 (Academic Assessment). The only grade of pass to be awarded is a pass.
