The student will register and complete all units of the Understanding Dementia Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) which is offered annually as an 11 week fully online prior to enrolment in the Negotiated Study in Understanding Dementia elective. This elective will guide students in a structured way to reflect upon the content and learning of the MOOC to complete three assessment items. The learning outcomes of this elective relate to dementia knowledge, written communication, reflective writing and research techniques
