Introduction

This unit will provide students with the knowledge and skills required to administer medication safely and efficiently in a range of clinical settings. More specifically the student will focus on assessment of the patient, understanding the legal and ethical requirements related to medication management and drug calculations.

Teaching Pattern

One 50 minute lecture,Two 50 minute clinical laboratory sessions per week.

Assessment

Quiz 10%, Case Study Essay (1200 words) 40%, Exam 50%, Medications Calculations Assessment (100% accuracy).
