Introduction

This unit will enable nurses to develop knowledge and skill in the assessment of patients and their families. Theoretical underpinnings are based on the universal assessment process leading into advanced assessment techniques and skills. Students will adapt the advanced health and physical assessment learning outcomes to the diversity of populations and a wide range of practice areas.
