This unit examines the changing philosophies that have underpinned the practice of child and family health nurses. The unit content will particularly focus on critical reflection, social constructions of motherhood, primary health care and strategies to promote the health of children and families in the community such as anticipatory guidance and the facilitation of group work with parents.
