Introduction

In this unit, we continue the study of the body systems from CXA204 Bioscience 1, focussing on the musculoskeletal, digestive and reproductive systems in the initial weeks. Relevant physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and micobiology are introduced and contextualised using pathophysiology scenarios and case studies.

For most of the semester the focus is on complex disease states, integrating and applying knowledge from all previous Bioscience units. This unit supports the intermediate and advanced clinical units of the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Paramedic Practice.
