Introduction

This unit considers the role of the environmental advocate involved in marine and coastal conservation. Students learn to identify and critically analyse the role of the environmental advocate including non governmental organisations,government and community stakeholders, and proponents of marine use and development, whilst considering how to improve marine and coastal conservation. Students are introduced to communication and advocacy skills related to submission preparation and dispute resolution.
