Inquires into the theoretical and practical aspects of governmental intervention of commerce. The particular emphasis is on the regulation of anti-competitive behaviour as determined by Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Clth). The lectures touch upon the philosophical, economic and legal difficulties that arise during the investigation of anti-competitive arrangements. Part IV of the Act is examined in light of recent decisions and possible legislative change.
