Introduction

Learning Online explores how online technologies may be used during your university studies, whether you are studying on campus or by distance. It aims to develop your understanding of the strategies needed to maximise your success when learning online, with an emphasis on independent learning skills, problem solving, and inquiry-based learning. You will also learn to reflect on your experiences in the online environment with the aim of improving future learning.

Teaching

Teaching Pattern

Lectures are delivered from Hobart through LIVE recording and all students are encouraged to participate at the time of recording. All students will attend a weekly online tutorial, and weekly workshops (on campus for attending students and online for distance students). Participation in online activities is an essential part of the unit.

It is important to note that teaching and learning online requires the same time and commitment as teaching and learning in a face-to-face environment.

Access to a reliable internet connection is essential for this unit.
