In this unit, you will be introduced to mathematical and statistical methods that support informed decision-making and solution design based on analysis of scientific and technical data. This includes examining how statistical and mathematical methods are used for different purposes in applied science and technology. You will also be introduced to mathematical and statistical software commonly used in your industry, and learn how to represent and communicate mathematical and statistical information effectively. Through guided exercises, you will learn how to apply mathematical and statistical approaches to solve practical problems within your field of work.
