Vegetable research at Cradle Coast is being undertaken in the areas of Pyrethrum Epidemiology and management of Pyrethrum diseases, Potato viruses and Broccoli physiology, Sclerotinia disease in beans, and hop diseases.

A major focus of research at Cradle Coast is epidemiology of vegetable crops diseases, modelling of site-specific risk, and the use of molecular techniques to detect pathogens and to assess the genetic variability of pathogen populations.
