Kees Dorst

“Design - The New Rules of the Game - Exploring emerging global design practices.”

Kees Dorst is Professor of Design at the University of Technology in Sydney and Senior Researcher in Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. Dorst has worked as a product designer for various design firms, bringing almost 50 products to market, and has pursued an international academic career.

In his research Dorst explores the ways in which designers think, learn and practice. He works as a consultant and lectures at universities and design schools throughout the world. He has published numerous articles and five books – most recently Design Expertise which explores the perception of expertise in design and why we employ the services of expert designers (2009).
