“Those Who Can’t Teach...”

According to Wilson he has "moved between the roles of teacher and artist throughout my career. In describing my practice, I find it increasingly difficult to make sense of one role without also considering the other role as implicated and intertwined. At the same time, this relationship is troubled. It also presents questions about the institutional and market alignments in the production and reputational economy of contemporary art. This talk will introduce some of the tensions and contradictions at work in these situations by way of a consideration of the transition points within my practice"
