TCotA Forum welcomes all students and members of the public.

" 'So, how was it? How was New York?' Eyes wide, broad smile, anticipation of positive response.

'Oh, fantastic!' I reply, eager not to disappoint.

I choose my words carefully. Yes, on the one hand I mean wonderful, great, extraordinary, but on the other I mean bizarre, remote and unreal."

In his Arts Forum presentation Neil Haddon explores the consequences of going and coming back. He draws on recent trips to New York, Los Angeles and London and the impact of these trips on his work as a visual artist.

Neil Haddon was born in Epsom, Surrey, UK. After living in Barcelona, Spain for six years he moved to Tasmania. Haddon's career as a visual artist spans 22 years with exhibitions in Australia, Europe and the US.

Neil is a part-time Lecturer in Fine Art at the Tasmanian College of the Arts.
