Junction Arts FestivalJunction Arts Festival energises Launceston, Tasmania at the start of spring with five days of playful performances, experiences and late-night happenings that unlock hidden spaces of the city and offer audiences the opportunity to come into close proximity with artists, to observe, participate and create.

We believe that art doesn’t begin and end at theatres, museums and galleries and invite audiences on an adventure to experience both art and venue in a completely new ways. Featuring a bold program of engaging performances by local, national and international artists and musicians, the Festival highlights the city of Launceston, creating site-specific and interactive works which aim to redefine the way we see a city and celebrate creativity and imagination.

Now in its fourth year, Junction Arts Festival is proud to have established itself as one of the premier events in Tasmania’s growing niche Festival and flourishing arts scene. This year the Festival will ignite the streets, spaces and places of Launceston from the 10th - 14th September, 2014 and features a range of ticketed and free events and experiences suitable for all ages.

Junction Arts Festival will be chatting to the Artsforum audience about the Festival, the projects and performances Launceston can expect from this year's festival and how the Launceston community can get involved.
