Abigail Conway has been working with Junction Arts Festival since 2014 to create RIDE, a one-on-one performance where audience members ride on the back of a motorcycle. At the 2014 Festival, she presented Time Lab and On Dancefloors.

Abigail is a visual artist and creator of live art performance. Her interests lie in working with material objects, craft and actions to create playful site-specific installations and immersive encounters for audiences. She is committed to exploring intimacy, within instruction-based works.

She is founder, and director, of Subject to_ change, a live Art Company, which makes small and large-scale, audience led, installations, to which the show home sweet home has toured to national and international acclaim. Subject to_change create live art works that are playful, immersive and transformative. The Company is committed to questioning the role of art in society by giving priority to audience engagement and their creative perception.

Individual performance pieces devised, produced and directed by Abigail include; on the tip of your tongue*, Incandescents, on dancefloors and every minute, always with Melanie Wilson. Abigail's work has been selected and showcased by the British Council and presented at the following venues: Welcome Collection, Shunt Vault's, Battersea Arts Centre, The ICA, The Basement, Bristol Old Vic, Warwick Arts Centre, The Arches, Vooruit kunstencentrum, Rich Mix, Latitude Festival, Summerhall and Forest Fringe.

Abigail is a part time Senior Lecturer in Theatre at University Chichester, UK. Abigail has produced work at Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), and as an artist she is currently associated with Forest Fringe and supported by BAC. Abigail is also on the board of Station House Opera.

TCotA Forum is a series of free public lectures held at the Tasmanian College of the Arts (Inveresk). Students and members of the public are welcome to attend. Lectures are presented by staff, visiting scholars from Tasmania, mainland Australia and overseas, industry professionals and artists-in-residence.
