Rosamond McCulloch StudioDrift
2014 Recipient, Rosamond McCulloch Studio Residency, Paris

Patrick graduated from the Tasmanian College of the Arts in 2012 with a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts with Honours (First Class). He is currently completing a Master of Fine Arts with his research examining ideas of place, duration, interaction and observation within a Midland agricultural setting. His practice is centred on walking and uses a variety of mediums to construct subjective/abstract interpretations of site.

Patrick has recently returned from a four-month residency at the Rosamond McCulloch Studio at the Cité International des Arts, Paris. His presentation will recount the experience of walking the streets of Paris and his encounters with the art, the people, the culture and the places, and furthermore how those interactions have broadened his practice as an artist, writer and researcher living in Tasmania.

The 2014 Rosamond McCulloch studio residency was kindly supported by the University of Tasmania and Arts Tasmania.
