Kenneth Bailey: DS4SI (Design Studio for Social Innovation)

Social Justice Needs a Studio

Urban designer Kenneth Bailey established Boston's DS4SI in 2005, which operates at the intersections of design thinking and practice, social justice and activism, public art and social practice; formulating and testing social interventions with and on behalf of marginalized populations, controversies, and ways of life.

Kenneth Bailey is a UTAS Visiting Scholar with the Tasmanian College of the Arts and the Creative Exchange Institute.


TCotA Forum is a series of free public lectures held at the Tasmanian College of the Arts (Inveresk). Students and members of the public are welcome to attend. Lectures are presented by staff, visiting scholars from Tasmania, mainland Australia and overseas, industry professionals and artists-in-residence.
