Mary Peacock - Mapping and White Markers

Mapping and White Markers

Mary Peacock is an installation artist with an MA in Fine Arts. Her recent projects have been engaged with the geography and history of site specific locations such as The Kerry Lodge Art Project, Cataract Gorge and the Abbotsford Convent.

Dialogue with the site itself informs Mary’s mapping practice.

This presentation will unpack my practice by analysing several works in detail, giving emphasis to process and diary keeping and focusing on what lies unseen within the sites environment.

Please note this Arts Forum will commence at 12.00pm
12.00 - 12.30pm Dr Abbey MacDonald, Faculty of Education will give a presentation about pathways through the Master of Teaching.
12.30 - 12.40pm Question and answer session about the new Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Dr Karen Hall.

TCotA Forum is a series of free public lectures held at the Tasmanian College of the Arts (Inveresk). Students and members of the public are welcome to attend. Lectures are presented by staff, visiting scholars from Tasmania, mainland Australia and overseas, industry professionals and artists-in-residence.
