The Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) is Australia's premier music and speech examinations body. In many cases, progression through the AMEB system leads to university entrance and the establishment of professional careers in teaching and performing. In Tasmania, the AMEB is administered by the Conservatorium of Music (University of Tasmania) on behalf of the Minister for Education and Skills.
