Pseudopanax (Araliaceae) 2:263
Pseudopanax gunnii (described as Nothopanax gunnii in the Student's Flora) is a spindly understorey shrub in rainforest and scrub in south-west Tasmania. Its habit and palmate or trifoliate (rarely simple and lobed) leaves make it highly distinctive in this habitat. The leaves are very variable. It is the only species of the genus in Tasmania, but many species occur in New Zealand.
