Celmisia asteliifolia

C. saxifraga

Tasmania has two native species of Celmisia. These are both alpine rosette species with narrow, entire leaves and solitary flowers on long scapes. C. asteliifolia has large leaves (~5-18 cm long) which are dark, shiny green on the top, but very hairy underneath. C. saxifraga has smaller leaves (1.5-3 cm long), which are silvery on both surfaces.
