| Tasmania has
two native species of Celmisia. These are both alpine rosette
species with narrow, entire leaves and solitary flowers on long
scapes. C. asteliifolia has large leaves (~5-18 cm long)
which are dark, shiny green on the top, but very hairy underneath. C.
saxifraga has smaller leaves (1.5-3 cm long), which are silvery
on both surfaces.
