Lactuca (Asteraceae) 2:388 |
Tasmania has
two introduced species of Lactuca (lettuces). These are both
short-lived herbs with rosettes and erect, leafy stems. L.
serriola is a common weed along roads and on waste ground and
has distinctively spiny leaves (which may be unlobed or have shallow
pinnate lobes). L. saligna is less common and has
narrow, smooth leaves.
