Craspedia (Asteraceae) 2:346 |
|
 |
| Tasmania has
six species of Craspedia. These native rosette herbs occur in a wide range of
habitats, particularly grasslands, grassy woodlands and alpine
areas. The obvious feature of this genus is the largish, almost
spherical heads, set on a long stalk bearing a few small leaves. These, in fact, are
made up of many smaller heads
packed closely so that it they seem to be a single head.
