Euchiton litticola (Asteraceae) not in the Student's Flora

Euchiton litticola is a small native herb only found on the coast along the south and west coasts as far as the Tasman Peninsula.  It has narrow linear leaves (about 10-30 mm long by only 2-3 mm wide) that are green and hairless on their upper surface. The stems and undersides of the leaves are densely hairy.  The flower heads are solitary at the ends of short flowering stalks, usually less than 30 mm long.
