Echium candicans (Pride of Madeira) is a common garden plant that has escaped in a few places, although it is debateable as to whether it is naturalised. It is a shrub with numerous branches with narrow, entire, bluish leaves about 10cm long and large, dense, conical inflorescences at the ends of the branches.
