Mesembryanthemum (includes Aptenia; Aizoaceae) - not in the Students Flora
Two species of Mesembryanthemum are naturalised in a few places in Tasmania. These are both spreading prostrate plants with flowers with numerous red "petals". They have broad, flat, rather succulent leaves. M. cordifolia was previously known as Aptenia cordifolia.
