Persicaria
decipiens (Slender Knotweed) is an uncommon native herb known only from
rivers in the north. It is a smallish herb with horizontal
stems that grow upwards at the ends. The leaves are narrow elliptic to
lanceolate and 5-12cm long by 5-13mm wide, often with a purplish
blotch near middle of upper surface. They have hairy veins and
margins. The inflorescence is a rather loose spike, 2-6cm by 3-4mm. |
