Stellaria pallida (Lesser Chickweed) is a small, but common species of introduced herb. It is generally low growing, and occurs as a weed in a range of quite dry, disturbed areas, including footpaths and cultivated ground.

Because the flowers have no petals, this species can easily be overlooked as a small, non-flowering specimen of S. media or even of different herbaceous genera
