Hibbertia serpyllifolia (Dilleniaceae) 1:24 |
|
|
|
Like many
other Hibbertia species, Hibbertia serpyllifolia is a small
low growing plant with yellow flowers. It is found in sandy places
in the Midlands and north of Tasmania. The distinctive features are
the combination of narrow, tightly revolute leaves only 3-6mm long
(and not clustered as in H.
prostrata) and flowers with three carpels surrounded by the
stamens.
