Hibbertia rufa (Dilleniaceae) 1:23

Hibbertia rufa is a small, low growing shrub with pubescent branches and sessile, bright yellow flowers. This very rare native species is found in the North East of Tasmania. The distinctive feature is the leaves ending in a tuft of hairs. It was thought extinct in Tasmania until rediscovery in late in 2008.
